Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Specify and name all requests on the first sheet.

Note: The columns in the first sheet can be defined in any order. Request Name, URL, and Request Type are mandatory inputs. The rest are optional.

Start by naming the request. Request names must be unique

Specify the URL of the request. If you type "domain/" in your url, we'll replace it with the value of baseURL from the config file.

Choose the request type: GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE

Specify optional Content Type or Accept header

Define optional query parameters or headers

Ex. Query Param USERNAME

Ex. Header Accept-Language

Step 2: Execute tests on each of the requests in the rest of the sheets

Choose a name for your test case. Do not leave the cell in this column blank

Provide the name of the request being tested. All values in this column should be references to Request Name cells in sheet 1

Choose what to check from the dropdown list

Specify an optional input path to a certain part of the response

Ex. result.sports.baseball.team_1.coach

Choose an operation from the dropdown list

Specify an expected value

Type an "N" in this cell to skip the test
