Step by Step Instructions

Prerequisites:

In the tests folder, create another folder called data (if this doesn't already exist).
In the data folder, create a file called screenshots.xlsx or contact us to send you a skeleton to place here.
To execute tests on data in screenshots.xlsx, create a test case in one of your test files.
- Keyword/Action = capture screenshots or test screenshots
- Expected Value = name of the excel sheet in screenshots.xlsx that you want to test

Step 1: Specify the url, screenshot locations, and wait time between scrolls

Provide the url. We'll capture a screenshot of the full web page

Specify the location of the baseline screenshots (what the page should look like). You can use the keyword "capture screenshots" to capture these baseline screenshots and store them in the provided location

Specify the location of the actual screenshots captured during comparison. If the test fails, we'll create an image with the differences highlighted and store that image in the output folder for you to review

Step 2: Specify whether or not your display is a retina display

If your display is a retina display, you must put "yes" here. Otherwise you can leave this blank

If your display is a retina display, you must specify the device pixel ratio. Google this number for your display

Step 3: Optional customization inputs

Provide an optional threshold (max distance between unequal pixels)

Provide an optional minimum rectangle area (minimum area of the rectangles that count as differences)

Provide an optional pixel tolerance percentage

Provide optional rectangle areas to exclude from the comparisons.

Format: (minX, minY, maxX, maxY) & (minX, minY, maxX, maxY) & (minX, minY, maxX, maxY)

Provide optional header and footer size to crop out

Format: (x, y)
